Update: 24th April 2009 - My dad arrived from England tonight - is the first time me & my boy have seen him in 5 years! So will not be available for any shoots until after 20th May
Thanks for visiting my portfolio, Maria is my name - but some call me shona…
I’m easy going, adaptable & versatile, love to have a laugh, meeting people and learning new things. I give 100% and am serious about doing my best to help create the best images - BUT - I don't take myself or life too seriously (in other words this lady's NOT a Diva ;D).
I will do ALMOST any kind of shoot from crawling in the mud to being a princess bride, stark conceptual/emotive through to high glamour styles. As far as I'm concerned the more variety the better; exceptions are nudes and spiders; no interest in the first - petrified of the second. Happy to do both studio and location shoots, (especially if location is Mauritius!) So let your imagination take wing and I'll do my best to help bring your ideas to life.
Among the things I love about modeling is the chance to act as different characters, help create illusions and make ideas come to life. If needed I can do my own make-up (had my own face painting business for a while so can be pretty creative/artistic if needed). I also have some costumes and non-mainstream clothes that I am more than happy to use in shoots.
I am a qualified Personal Trainer working to help others achieve their health & fitness goals - so if you want to get fit message me for more details smile. Among my many passions are weight training, running, horse riding and Muay Thai.
I have a vivid imagination, I write, paint, draw and love taking nature photography, (know of some great locations for shoots if needed - some of my "creations" are here http://shonam.deviantart.com/ if you're interested). If we work together and you want creative input from me please let me know and I'll gladly "download" some of the countless ideas that are tripping over each other in their bid for freedom from my crowded imagination.
*The boring bits* My age is not shown correctly as the earliest year available is 1970....I was born 1966 :) I am Australian size 8-10, shoe size 7-8, my hair is slightly longer than shoulder length, I have faint scars on left of forehead from car crash many years ago - mostly they do not show. I did my first proper modelling shoot in May 2008 - so still a bit of a "newbie" - )..and finally an odd one - I can't wink - never have been able to...but can cross my eyes smile*
